Lockdown has sent children’s (and our own) screen time soaring once again. Making sure that young people stay safe online can be tough when there are so many new apps, games and sites created and launched every day. To help with this, Morton Academy has started its journey to become an accredited National Online Safety School, meaning that we are working to ensure that all staff and students are properly educated in E-Safety and the online world. Alongside ensuring our staff and students have all the right resources to stay safe online and to make the right choices we are also opening up through our membership with National Online Safety to allow Governors and Parents access to helpful resources and courses so that children are safe when outside of the school setting.
To help with this, National Online Safety have launched an app of their own, packed with hundreds of insightful guides, it will keep you informed about the latest online crazes and hazards. On here parents will be able to find a free online parents’ course, compiled by experts and presented by online safety ambassador Myleen Klass.
The app is available to download for free from the App store and Google Play.
