Nurturing and Developing Individual Talent

Richard Rose Morton Academy attaches great importance to knowing each individual young person extremely well so we can nurture success and challenge underachievement. All our students are placed in a House family to ensure that their progress is monitored and improved, and that each student receives the support and guidance they require.

In each team there are 16 mixed-age students supported by a Team Leader. The Team Leader monitors academic and personal progress, liaising with parents/carers to tackle any concerns. They work with students to set achievable goals and track progress by working with other colleagues and sometimes outside agencies. The emphasis throughout is on positive encouragement of individuals and of course, celebration of success.
